Micke
Chief Surveyor
Meet Micke, one of our most experienced colleagues who has worked at Clinton for more than twenty years. He has seen the company grow from being a small firm with about 12 employees located in Stockholm, to becoming a firm with around 60 colleagues across four offices in Sweden.
Micke started to study land survey engineering at Högskolan Gävle back in 1994, and after graduation he worked in Norway for a while. During his stay there a friend from school told him that he had heard of Clinton and that it should be a good company to work for. And the rest is history.
“I thought it would be fun to try and see how it would play out working at Clinton. I started with housing projects, continued with more construction sites and then I took on bigger infrastructure projects. Since a while back I work with various specialized projects from the office."
Micke is grateful that he got the chance to start at Clinton back in the days, and much has happened since then. Micke has grown within the survey profession but he has also taken on other internal assignments and projects at Clinton. He is the company's work environment safety representative and he develops and leads internal couses for collagues. Micke puts high value on that the support and trust from the organisation always has been there. He describes the focus on continious improvement as a part of Clinton's organizational foundation.
“The management believes in everybody’s development and are eager to offer various types of education and courses, as well as enable us to learn from each other. We have a good and familiar spirit with open-minded people, and I’m happy to contribute with my expertise regarding internal education.”
Micke appriciates the opportunity to contribute in educating colleagues, as well as the opportunity to get educated and learn from others too. He thinks it’s positive and fun that the company is growing and hiring new colleagues, as much as he also looks back at his time at Clinton with joy.
“I have experienced so many fun things at Clinton, there are a lot of stories to tell! For example, when we went to Granada together celebrating Clintons 30th birthday or when we went to Miami another year. I also have a lot of other memories that reminds me of how things has developed in the best of directions . When I started for example, the file structure was chaotic, that is very different now!”
The list of experiences from Clinton that Micke can tell you is long, it’s everything from the history and development of file structure, grid surveying, and stake outs on construction sites, to travels to Åre and Mallorca. If you have a question, ask Micke!
