Senior Data Processor
Are you ready to push the boundaries together with us? We are looking forward to read your application!
At Clinton Marine Survey, we perform a wide range of services which are tailored for our customers' needs. We offer high quality hydrographic and geophysical surveys and reports through smart and cost-effective solutions. We are currently looking for a Senior Data Processor to our Hydrographic department, who will be processing bathymetry (MBES) data from the Gothenburg office at Frihamnen. We are looking for you who have experience from the industry and are familiar with the field of hydrography.
Scope of the work
At Clinton we have a set-up where the processing of data is carried out from the Gothenburg office while the vessel crew are responsible for collecting the data offshore. In the role as a Senior Data Processor, you will be responsible for delivery of hydrographic data from start to end in our projects. This implies suggesting and producing appropriate MBES data deliveries based on the needs and demands of the clients and ensuring that processing of incoming data is carried out according to the project manual, established processes and procedures. During project start-up, you will assist the vessel- and project team during the mobilization- and calibration phase. You will as part of the Hydrographic team, monitor and quality control the data as well as be responsible for final delivery and report writing.
A Senior Data Processor at Clinton can independently carry out advanced troubleshooting and resolve issues as well as contribute with insights in discussions concerning technical issues and quality. The job also includes establishing and improving standard workflows as well as creating guides and checklists to structure the daily work for yourself and the team.
In this role, you will be part of a Hydrographic team, pushing the boundaries together to deliver high quality services.
Who we are looking for
We think that you will be a good match for the job if you are analytical and used to process large amounts of complex data. Having a flexible mindset and the ability to quickly adapt to changed circumstances is key at CMS since we work with various projects in an agile way. Others would describe you as someone who are interested in developing new ideas and takes initiative to make sure to get things done. You enjoy working both independently as well as in a team and have the ability to share your learnings and knowledge to others in a pedagogic manner.
In order to be successful in the role we think you need to have at least three years’ experience from working with data processing within marine surveying and experience from processing multibeam data in various types of projects is a requirement. You should also have worked in GIS (preferably QGIS) as well as with EIVA’s processing software before and feel confident operating in these software environments. Through this experience, you have gained an understanding of which errors in multi-beam sensor configuration that could affect the data.
It is desirable, but not a requirement, if you in addition to the above also have experience from working in Caris and/or TerraPos. It is also beneficial if you have taken part of collecting multibeam data previously, from working as an Offshore Surveyor or similar.
The organizational language is English and therefore you need to be able to communicate on a professional proficiency level in English. Swedish is preferable but not a requirement.
