The Survey department at Clinton Marine Survey is now looking for another team member! The role includes working with data collection offshore, post processing of collected data, project preparations and communication with clients. The position is based in Gothenburg but involves travels within the Nordic region and occasionally other parts of Europe.
Scope of the work
At Clinton we have a set-up where the processing of data is carried out from the Gothenburg office while the vessel crew are responsible for collecting the data offshore. For this position, offshore work will mainly be conducted from our smaller vessels Lode and Northern Star in Sweden, but work within the Nordic region and Europe will also be part of the role. The working hours vary depending on which type of work that is conducted, but in total they should correspond to 40 hours per week on average.
A Surveyor at Clinton has an enthusiastic approach towards learning new systems and an interest in new technology and solutions. The job includes to continuously adapt to changed circumstances and conditions to find the best way of collecting high quality data.

- Some form of experience from being onboard a vessel or boat
- A driver's license that is valid in Sweden (B-körkort för personbil)
- Based in Gothenburg
The organizational language is English and therefore you need to be able to communicate on a professional proficiency level in English. Please note that also Swedish on a professional level is a requirement for this position.
- Experience from working onboard small vessel(s)
- Experience form the offshore survey industry
- You have completed a Cat-A or Cat-B course such as Practical Hydrography of 30 credits at the University of Gothenburg.
- You have knowledge of electrical systems, basic troubleshooting, networks, marine surveying- or positioning systems.
Location: The position is based in Gothenburg but involves approximately 100 days of field work per year.
Working time: 40 h per week.
